While searching for parts the other day online I ran across a rebuilt engine. The motor on the Omarsea is now 16 years old and has close to 10,000 hours on it. That's like having 250,0000 miles on your car. I was fortunate enough to get in contact with a fella from Oregon who works for a company that liquidates assets from businesses that have gone under. He had a rebuilt Perkins 4.236 just like the one in the Omarsea. Now we can repower and have the drive train completed this year. Giving me time to focus on the many other aspects of the boat remodel we have planned. How ironic that we buy an engine from Oregon to repair the boat here in Maryland. Fair Winds!
