Look closely at the glass of Juli's tank. You will see hundreds of juvenile praying Mantis. Juli found an egg sack on a butterfly bush and brought it home. Then she successfully hatched these many baby insects. Over the next few weeks they grew and we discovered that the Mantis are cannibals. The numbers dwindled until Juli was forced to release the remaining hatchlings into the garden lest there only be one left.
