About the Omarsea Crew

We are the Trefethens. After 10 years of planning we decided to sell our home and buy a sailboat. In November 2007 we departed Portland Oregon for the Virgin Islands and our 50 foot sloop the OMARSEA. Our three children Ben, Juli and Steve are enjoying the benefits of being homeschooled. Join us on our continuing adventures as we explore the East coast of America on the way to New Zealand.

FT,Myers Beach Farmers Market

                           FT.Myers Beach Farmers Market

FT. Meyers beach, the millionaire playground, is a very special place every Friday. Here under the bridge a veritable flood of food arrives via carts and trucks.  Farmers in the area come together to sell their wares. There are some farmers that sell vegetables, beekeepers sell their honey,  there is even a plant shop where you could buy a Venus fly trap or a jug plant.  But the best of all the farmers  has a German bakery. The bakery has all sorts of delicious goodies that are ready to be purchased like rolls, cinnamon buns, sesame buns and other such delicious treats. Every Friday we go there to shop and get a cinnamon roll or sticky bun.Life is sweet!!!
