About the Omarsea Crew

We are the Trefethens. After 10 years of planning we decided to sell our home and buy a sailboat. In November 2007 we departed Portland Oregon for the Virgin Islands and our 50 foot sloop the OMARSEA. Our three children Ben, Juli and Steve are enjoying the benefits of being homeschooled. Join us on our continuing adventures as we explore the East coast of America on the way to New Zealand.

The Crew Lives

Hi everyone. At long last we have some internet. I will keep this short as we dont know how long the connection is good for. We arrived safe in the Marquesas islands at Hiva Oa after 22 days. In the past week we have visited 2 more islands and we sail for Nuka Hiva tonight. We have loads of pictures that we will ask Jean to upload to the site after she meets us in Tahiti in 3 weeks. We look forward to seeing her.
