About the Omarsea Crew

We are the Trefethens. After 10 years of planning we decided to sell our home and buy a sailboat. In November 2007 we departed Portland Oregon for the Virgin Islands and our 50 foot sloop the OMARSEA. Our three children Ben, Juli and Steve are enjoying the benefits of being homeschooled. Join us on our continuing adventures as we explore the East coast of America on the way to New Zealand.

Our Visit to Portland


For the past four weeks we have been blessed to be in Portland OR. The kids are catching up with old friends as are Jean and I. Our friday evenings are busy with potluck dinners here at Jeans Mom's home. This past weekend Ben and I were in the Crater Lake national forest hiking the Pacific Creat trail. More on that to come. It is a busy time full for all of us. Something of a taste of things to come.
