Here Jean is puting the final touches on the front porch. We have as a family worked flat out for 10 weeks to complete the house before the end of our six month deadline. I know I am personally so tired of paintbrushes and rollers I look forward to not holding either for a long time. The house looks great and it has been wonderfull to move in finally. We worked at this crazy pace because the Electrical contractor called the bulding inspector out in March and the inspector beacame furious with the state the house was in saying he would not pass the final until all the work was done. We had been given the idea from the Bank inspector that we could move in and finish things like the mouldings and winds gradually over the next few years. The county inspector left in quite a huff and we spent the next 2 1/2 months furiosly getting all the work completed. My brother Greg came up and was a huge help. Here you can see him using a jack hammer to remove the old brick steps to make way for the new wooden front steps.
