About the Omarsea Crew

We are the Trefethens. After 10 years of planning we decided to sell our home and buy a sailboat. In November 2007 we departed Portland Oregon for the Virgin Islands and our 50 foot sloop the OMARSEA. Our three children Ben, Juli and Steve are enjoying the benefits of being homeschooled. Join us on our continuing adventures as we explore the East coast of America on the way to New Zealand.

House update

Our ginned up contraption to hold the bucket on the roof while I applied the sealer. Thats the Budhist temple in the background. Great Neighbors.
Jean as seen through the hole in the roof left by the chimney we removed. I was up on that crazy 12/12 pitch roof a whole day sealing it. Jean had the really booring job of handing me up things as I needed and let me say it was nice in the breeze up on the roof but hot down in that hole. She is a real trooper.

Greg and I are hanging the gutters on the porch here. It was a fun job all things considered. With the rain we have had this week I must say the gutters work great.
