About the Omarsea Crew

We are the Trefethens. After 10 years of planning we decided to sell our home and buy a sailboat. In November 2007 we departed Portland Oregon for the Virgin Islands and our 50 foot sloop the OMARSEA. Our three children Ben, Juli and Steve are enjoying the benefits of being homeschooled. Join us on our continuing adventures as we explore the East coast of America on the way to New Zealand.

Check this out Mate

A few months ago I became interested in Chess. Mom found a chess club and I go every saturday to play chess with others my age and my two coaches, Omar and Bruce. It's great. I can't wait till Saturday comes around.
I have studied hard and am begining to be a good player. My favorite pieces are the Queens and the knights. The Rooks are good too. I am thinking about becoming the world champion but it's going to take a long time. Good thing I am just 10.
