About the Omarsea Crew
We are the Trefethens. After 10 years of planning we decided to sell our home and buy a sailboat. In November 2007 we departed Portland Oregon for the Virgin Islands and our 50 foot sloop the OMARSEA. Our three children Ben, Juli and Steve are enjoying the benefits of being homeschooled. Join us on our continuing adventures as we explore the East coast of America on the way to New Zealand.

Great Friends = Great Times
A few weeks ago we were blessed to have several friends and their kids come down for a weekend on Tilghman Isle. The weather cooperated as true to form when Jean plans an activity. Here she and Julia pose with "Molly" Julia's Lab in front of the Omarsea. There was a great deal of eating, laughing and more eating that Saturday night. The kids rowed over to Tar Island in the small dinghy. There they explored the small islet located just outside the marina. Meanwhile Beau,Mike and I did our best to setup the gas BBQ from the boat and get dinner started. Carolyn (Mikes wife) took over the grilling and we were treated to a wonderful plate of hotdogs sausages and corned beef briskit. We all felt something missing when they left to head home for Germantown. We miss you guys!

WE had a great time and Julia and I have thought about that visit out to your family as one of the high points of our summer. I still want to try my hand at cooking a corned beef brisket as good as the one you threw together. We miss you guys and let Jean know that she can call on us when she comes out this way for a place to stay. Julia says she'd like to go out for coffee together next time Jean is in town.
ReplyDeleteWe had a great time as well and thank you for our "introduction" to the eastern shore and St Michaels. We already miss you guys.
ReplyDeleteFair winds and following seas.
